Also, the Wall Street Journal, in their Friday November 6 issue, runs an interview with 11 successful novelists, sharing their "how to write a novel" wisdom (It's available online, at http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703... Frankly (and I'm a published pro in this field) I've only ever heard of two of them (Anne Rice and Laura Lippman), but if your tastes lean toward the literary versus the commercial realm, maybe you'll know these names. Interesting stuff, if nothing else than to understand that successful does not beget a lot of communicable wisdom; to wit, one guy says he dressed up like this characters when he writes a scene with them involved.
I'm not going there, but hey, whatever floats your boat. Enjoy. And thanks for the reference to my piece here, too.
Larry,
Thanks for this resource. I look forward to checking it out, although I doubt I'll be "dressing up like my characters." Sounds a bit … interesting
Ha ha. Thank you!
