[video] Write It Sideways Update, May 2018

A little video update. One take, unedited.

Transcript

“Hi there, Suzannah here.”

“I know it’s been a really long time since I posted a video, but I felt like doing something different and showing you that I am still here and I know I haven’t been posting a lot in the last couple of years, because I’ve been busy – you know, having twins and moving countries and whole bunch of other stuff.”

“So it’s been busy, but I’ve been writing and I’ve still been publishing short stories. I had one published recently. So, that’s all going well, but don’t give up checking the blog regularly and don’t cancel your subscription just yet. I just received a Literary Creation Grant from the Ontario Arts Council and that is basically funding to write a novel!”

“But now I have to write the novel, right. So along the way, I’m sure I will have plenty of advice about how to NOT write a novel, probably more so than how to write a novel I’m sure. But, in either case, I’m going to share with you, you know, how it’s all going and hopefully it’s going well. You know it’s going well so far. So keep an eye out for information on that.”

“Also this fall, I will be (subject to enrolment) also again teaching The Story Intensive for Sarah Selecky Writing School so you can find out information about that program on the blog and a full review of the program.”

“And, I don’t want to say who yet, but there’s another program written by a prolific American author of commercial fiction. And this is a new program. It hasn’t launched yet, but I’ve had an “in” to the program and so I’m in the process of writing a review for that. So if you’re interested in writing commercial fiction you’re going to want to keep an eye out on Write It Sideways in the next couple of months for more info on that program because it looks like a great program.”

“So don’t go anywhere! I will keep you informed.”

“Hope you’re all doing well! Talk to you soon.”
